The Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District (NENEDD) and the Northeast Economic Development, Inc. (NED, Inc.) are looking for new board members to serve a 3-year term.
NENEDD is a sixteen-county regional development organization that encourages cooperation between local government officials, community-based organizations, and the private sector. We provide the link between federal and state programs at the local level where development actually occurs. NENEDD has extensive experience in community and economic development projects in the Northeast Nebraska region.
Since 2005, NENEDD has assisted members in obtaining more than $115.5 million in grants and loans for various community and economic development projects. Some of these projects created and/or retained 3,205 jobs and assisted in the rehabilitation, down payment assistance or new construction of over 896 housing units. Our non-profit organization, NED, Inc., is a separate entity that contracts with NENEDD to manage its business and housing loan programs.
