About Us

NENEDD is located at 111 S. 1st Street in Norfolk, Nebraska. Our staff of professionals work together to assist communities and individuals with economic development, housing and business loan opportunities. Any community located within the blue portion of the map below is able to apply for membership to the District and receive the benefits listed on our community planning page.

The NENEDD region is home to approximately 199,391 residents, with nearly 70,000 living within the three micropolitan areas of Fremont, Columbus, and Norfolk. Of the 117 communities within the NENEDD footprint, 110 have populations of fewer than 2,500 residents.

Our experienced staff brings more than 40 years of combined expertise in community development, economic development, finance, construction, and planning. Each year, our team participates in CDBG, HOME, and other relevant training opportunities and conferences to stay current on the latest programs, resources, and best practices in the field of economic and community development.

NED, Inc. is a separate nonprofit organization that contracts with NENEDD to manage and administer supported programs. NED, Inc. operates under its own independent Board of Directors, which provides oversight and governance of its activities.
