The Northeast Economic Development, Inc. and the Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District Board of Directors held a meeting on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, via conference call.
The NED, Inc. board approved one business loan. The owners of Cahoy General Store in Spencer, have purchased a building to expand their coffee trailer business into a drive-thru and sit-down coffee shop in an old gas station located at 102 N. Hyde Street in Atkinson. The location is ideal as there are thousands of vehicles that travel by this location each day. Plans are to open in April 2025. They also have several locations in South Dakota.
A review of the NENEDD and NED, Inc. audits was also performed with the accounting firm of Herley and Reinke Accounting, P.C.
