NOTICE OF MEETING 

 

The Northeast Economic Development, Inc. Board of Directors will hold a meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. with the Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District Annual Council of Officials meeting to follow. The meeting will be held at the following location:  City of Norfolk Offices – Training Room, 309 N. 5th St., Norfolk, NE 68701
 
An agenda of the meeting will be available on the website, www.nenedd.org, under Board of Directors on or before June 23, 2025, 2025.  The public is welcome to attend.  If you have any questions, please call 402-379-1150.

Established by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) discretionary grant program will provide $5 billion in grant funding over five years. Funding supports regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries.

The 2025-26 Nebraska Early Childhood Policy Leadership Academy
applications now open.
 
Child care and other early childhood issues play a huge role in workforce participation, business productivity, and the marketability of Nebraska’s communities. That’s why the Nebraska Early Childhood Policy Leadership Academy is seeking applicants from business, industry and economic development to join its 2025-26 class. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn alongside experts in public policy, advocacy and early childhood development, gaining skills that will help you influence policy decisions that directly impact the economic well-being of our state and the quality of life of all Nebraskans. The application window runs through July 18.

Time to apply: Applications open now

 

It's go time! The LWCF (Land and Water Conservation Fund) program is now taking applications for the competitive grant round.

If you or the project sponsor are not yet registered, you need to do that first. We will respond within two business days so you can begin an application.

Materials for 2025 are available on both the LWCF website and the application portal. If you are a returning applicant, you will notice the guide is in a different format that rolls the application questions, scoring and attachments into one. The scoring tally is on page 35; check it out to stay informed!

The application portal will close at noon on Friday, August 22. Best of luck!
