Other Upcoming CEDS Community Town Halls
Northeast Nebraska Development District (NENEDD) recently completed its Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) survey, gathering valuable input from communities across the region. To share the results and continue the conversation, NENEDD will host a series of public town hall meetings where residents, community leaders, and stakeholders are invited to learn about the findings and discuss regional priorities moving forward.
Three town hall meetings have been scheduled, with a fourth in-person meeting and a fifth virtual session to be announced soon:

CatCHATs: Don Wisnieski
Featuring Don Wisnieski, owner and CEO of Fantasy Drone Shows.

CatCHATs is a series of events hosted by the Nebraska Business Development Center in collaboration with the School of Business and Technology. Each semester, we invite a distinguished and inspirational speaker to engage with students, faculty, and members of the community. This event is open to all and serves as a valuable opportunity for learning, connection, and inspiration. All students, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome.
In this event, Norfolk’s Don Wisnieski, owner and CEO of Fantasy Drone Shows, will be the featured speaker. The presentation will last approximately 20-25 minutes.
Prior to the speaking engagement, there will be a drone show at 1:30 p.m. north of the Center for Applied Technology.

Wisnieski has more than 30 years of experience in aerial entertainment and 40-plus years of successful business leadership. He is a FAA Part 107 certified pilot, licensed manned aircraft pilot, and a licensed pyrotechnician.
Wisnieski is an expert in cutting-edge drone light shows, creating unforgettable aerial experiences for events of all sizes.
Wisnieski’s events have included drone shows for the implosion of the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the Iowa State Fair, the U.S. Naval Academy Pep Rally, and Volleyball Day in Nebraska, which was kept under wraps until Wisnieski’s drones flew over Memorial Stadium and lit up the sky with “92,003.” The event marked the largest attendance of a women’s sporting event in the world.

Nebraska RentWise Train the Trainer
In Person Training: May 6-7, 2026
Nebraska RentWise is a program to help renters obtain and keep rental housing and to be successful renters through education. The curriculum takes an active-learning approach and stresses tenant responsibility. Nebraska RentWise increases community awareness and support for quality, affordable rental housing.This training opportunity is to train individuals to provide Nebraska RentWise. You must attend a Train the Trainer in order to be a “certified” RentWise trainer… And remember, only current certified RentWise trainers will be able to list their agency as an online RentWise provider.
